DEADLY EFFECTS

Linkletter clipping

LSD has always been a dangerous and unpredictable drug.  In the late 1960's and early 1970's, deaths directly related to the use of LSD were fairly common.  However, only occasionally did they receive national attention.  LSD's deadly effects remain unchanged, but with the passage of time new generations of young people are showing renewed interest in the drug.

Diane Linkletter, the daughter of radio and TV personality Art Linkletter, fell to her death from her sixth floor apartment window while under the influence of LSD.

Her father said, "It wasn’t suicide, because she was not herself.  It was murder.  She was murdered by the people who manufacture and sell LSD."  Diane had previously told her father about a bum trip on LSD and that she felt she was being driven out of her mind.
